Legal
Terms and Conditions
Last updated 24 September 2026
These terms apply when you use swifteepay.com or buy tickets through it. Please read them before you book. By buying a ticket or creating an account, you agree to them.
1. Who we are
SwifteePay runs this website.
Email: info@swifteepay.com
In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean SwifteePay. “You” means the person using the site or buying tickets.
2. Events and organisers
We sell tickets for events run by event organisers, such as student societies. The organiser plans and runs the event. We handle the booking, the payment and your tickets.
The organiser and the venue set their own entry rules, such as age limits, ID checks and dress codes. Check the event page before you book.
3. Buying tickets
- The price shown at checkout is the full price you pay. We do not add booking fees on top. All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP).
- Payments are handled by Stripe. You can pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and the other methods Stripe offers. We never see or store your full card number.
- Your order is confirmed when your payment goes through. We then email your tickets to the address you entered. Check that address carefully, because that is where your tickets go.
- You can buy up to 15 tickets in one order.
- Tickets are held for you while you pay. If you do not finish paying, they go back on sale.
- Some tickets are free. Free tickets follow the same rules as paid ones.
- We can cancel an order and refund you in full if the price shown was clearly wrong, if we suspect fraud, or if we cannot supply the tickets. We will tell you by email if this happens.
4. Your tickets
- Each ticket has its own QR code. Show it on your phone at the door. You do not need to print it.
- Each ticket can be scanned once. After it has been scanned, it cannot be used again.
- Keep your tickets private. Anyone with your QR code can use it to get in. If a copy of your ticket is used before you arrive, you may be refused entry and we cannot replace it.
- If you bought tickets for friends, send each person their own QR code.
- You can find your tickets in the email we sent you, or by signing in at swifteepay.com/account with the email you booked with.
- Tickets are for personal use. Do not resell them for profit. We or the organiser can cancel tickets that have been resold for profit, and no refund will be due.
5. Getting in
You must follow the entry rules of the organiser and the venue.
Door staff can refuse entry to, or remove, anyone who:
- does not have a valid ticket
- cannot show ID when asked
- does not meet the age limit for the event
- is aggressive, threatening or unsafe
- is too intoxicated
- breaks the rules of the organiser or the venue
If you are refused entry or removed for any of these reasons, you will not get a refund.
You may be searched on entry, and venues may use CCTV. Some events, such as boat parties, leave at a fixed time and cannot wait. If you miss the departure, you will not get a refund.
6. Changes, cancellations and refunds
You do not have a 14 day right to cancel. UK law (the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013) does not give this right for tickets to an event on a specific date.
Tickets cannot be refunded or exchanged, except in these cases:
- If an event is cancelled, you get a full refund of the price you paid.
- If an event moves to a new date, or its venue or main act changes in a way that makes a real difference, we will email you. You can keep your tickets or ask for a full refund within the time we give you.
- We may choose to refund in other cases, but we do not have to.
We do not refund if you cannot go, change your mind, or are refused entry for the reasons in section 5.
Refunds go back to the payment method you used. They usually reach you within 5 to 10 working days after we process them, depending on your bank.
7. Discount codes
- A discount code works for one event only.
- Codes have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money.
- We or the organiser can switch a code off at any time. A code already used on a completed order stays applied to that order.
8. Your account
- You can sign in at swifteepay.com/account with a link or code we email you, or with a password if you set one.
- Anyone who can open your email can sign in to your account. Keep your email account secure.
- If you set a password, keep it private and do not use it anywhere else.
- We can suspend or close an account that is used to break these terms.
- To close your account, email info@swifteepay.com.
9. Using the website
You must not:
- use bots, scripts or other automated tools to buy tickets or hold them
- try to get into accounts, tickets or data that are not yours
- interfere with, overload or damage the site or its security
- copy or reuse the site or its content without our permission
- use the site for anything unlawful or fraudulent
We can block access to the site if you do any of these things.
The site, its design and its content belong to us or to the people we license them from. Event images and descriptions belong to the organisers.
10. Emails we send you
We email you about your bookings. This includes your tickets, sign-in links, and important updates about events you have tickets for. These emails are part of the service.
We only email you about other events if you tick the box at checkout. Every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link. Our Privacy Policy explains how we use your details.
11. Our responsibility to you
- If we break these terms, we are responsible for loss you suffer that was a foreseeable result. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable.
- Our total responsibility to you for an order is limited to the price you paid for it, unless the law does not allow this limit.
- The organiser is responsible for running the event itself. We are not responsible for belongings lost or damaged at an event.
- We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by things outside our control, such as severe weather, strikes, or an outage at a payment or email provider.
- Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected.
12. Problems and complaints
If something goes wrong, email info@swifteepay.com with your order ID. You can find it in your ticket email. We will reply as soon as we can.
Please contact us before disputing a payment with your bank. It is usually the fastest way to fix a problem.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one on this page when you booked. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
14. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in the courts where you live.
